Recent travel destinations
Below is an list in alphabetical order of our recent travel destinations and a general description of where they are located. Aldeburgh England
Located on the River Alde on the east coast of the United Kingdom. Renowned for the Aldeburgh Festival of the Arts and fresh seafood caught and sold daily. We visited Aldeburgh on July 20th of 2013.
Brugge Belgium
We visited Brugge in October of 2013. Located in northwestern Belgium and escaping damage from two World Wars, Brugge appears today much as it did 600 years ago. If you visit Brugge try out the fantastic chocolate available there and of course the Belgian waffles. Brugge is an Old Dutch word meaning “bridge”.
Cambridge England
Located 65 miles north of London, we visited Cambridge in September of 2013. It’s a beautiful city with lots of history.
Helsinki Finland
Capital and largest city in Finland. Helsinki was chosen as World Design Capital for the year 2012. We visited Helsinki on August 13th of 2013.
London England
One of the most popular tourist destinations in the world. We visited London over the Labor Day weekend of 2013.
Seville Spain
Fantastic place to visit. We’ve been twice and would love to go again!
Southwold England
Located on the North Sea coast of Eastern England at the mouth of the River Blyth in Suffolk County. Southwold pier, Gun Hill, and St. Edmund’s Church are just a few of the popular tourist destinations in this town. We visited Southwold on July 27th of 2013.
Warwick Castle
Warwick Castle is located approximately 100 miles northwest of London in the town of Warwick. Situated on a bluff of the River Avon, it’s construction was started by William the Conqueror in 1068.
